On Sept. 16, you advised a reader on how to find work-from-home jobs. One resource I would have suggested would be the online job advertising sites: careerbuilder.com, monster.com, etc. Their search engines allow searching by keyword(s). By entering "telecommute" or "work from home," the reader could find a number of such employment opportunities.

Job seekers can usually identify the ones that are suspect simply from the way the ad is written. If it requires an investment or sounds more like a commercial, keep looking.- Laura Rounds

Thanks for passing on this useful advice, along with the caution to be careful. This is particularly the case with work-at-home jobs, where the adage "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is," holds especially true.
